[Narrator's perspective]        Claude, full name Claude Fullpipe, was born July 7th, 1970 in a children's hospital in Sacramento, CA. He was the second child of Timothy Fullpipe and Grace (formerly Updike) Fullpipe.        Unfortunately, Claude had an inflammatory condition in his throat that was noticed shortly after his birth, which made his voice quiet when he came out of the womb wailing. Grace was told by one of the surgeons in the hospital room that Claude would have to undergo an operation to have the inflammatory tissues from his throat removed or else he would have trouble breathing, possibly dying as a result. I don't know exactly when I'll start writing this, but I intend to write a fanfiction about Claude's early life, including his formative years. The way I interpret Claude is him being born into mutism instead of him being mute in a merely functional sense, but I did for a while believe that the gunshot he received was in the throat, thus forcing him into mutism forever after he took the shot (you'll know what shot I'm talking about if you've seen GTA3's introductory scene). For this reason, I might decide to write his childhood in 2 alternating versions if writing it only in the born-mute version gets too difficult for me. I'll probably add
